My Story
Home with my kiddos, pinky toe in the workforce. That was my goal from the time I can remember. I wanted to be in my home while my kids were young. I wanted to be there when they had class parties, field trips, had a sick day, and when they came home from school.
There was something else that pulled at me. What if I ever needed to be able to support my family? If I completely stepped away from the workforce for all those years, what would happened to my skills?
As it would turn out, we needed a dual income for our family. I was offered an opportunity to be an assistant to a family friend who had reached the highest level in Scentsy’s compensation plan. For five years I had a backstage pass to observe this Scentsy opportunity. Like many, I was skeptical of the business model. I had heard “all the things.”
During those five years of observing from behind the scenes, I discovered a treasure! I discovered something that gave me confidence, flexibility, joy, the opportunity to travel, and the ability to support my family.
I knew I couldn’t stand by and watch that opportunity pass
me by any longer. Seven years ago, I started my own personal Scentsy business. THIS business model speaks to my soul. The work is so good. The friends, The relationships, and the personal growth are some of my favorite parts of my business.
It brings me peace knowing that I am in the driver’s seat of
my business. No one can merge and make my position obsolete, no one can decide if I get the promotion, no one gets to determine my hours and salary.
I like to live by the philosophy of “sharing is caring…”
